Bolivia Departments since 2006
Note: Since 18 Dec 2005 the 9 departments of Bolivia directly elected their Governors (styled Prefects to 30 May 2010). On 15 Dec 2007, the eastern departments of Bolivia unilaterally declared their autonomy as autonomous regions. The unilateral autonomy movement was not recognized by the Bolivian government. On 30 May 2010, the departments of Bolivia received autonomy under the 7 Feb 2009 constitution.
